A statement from Michael Håkansson:
To all you great people out there who has shown your big support and interest in my participation in Engel.
I am sad to announce my departure from Engel.
It hasn’t been an easy decision for me to make... It was a really hard one but at this time I felt it was the right one for me to make.
I am not leaving for another band or for any personal or business related issues within the band. Not at all!!!
It’s been a blast to be a part of this fantastic band and one part of me would still like to be a part of Engel’s future. For I see nothing but success for Engel, the potential has no limits with these guys.
I’ve been given a once in a life-time offer that I just couldn’t say no to. I am now leaving my other big dream in life.
I want to thank the wonderful guys in the band... Niclas, Mojjo, Marcus and Mangan… you guys rule!! Thanks for 2 fantastic years together and all the fun we had during the recording of the album and the tours we did together.
And last but not least... Maria Ouelette of SPV, Nasrin, Peter, and Sascha of Pirate Smile. Thanks for great times together!!!!

You all know we did a small gig in Stockholm a while ago, don’t you?
Anyway, we did this little gig with our buddies in In Flames at an amusement park called Gröna Lund... We figured we should document it since we are the first band from the so called Gothenburg Scene (or melodic death if you prefer) to play there, on the main stage, in our capitols amusement park... So we did.

As all You honoured fans of Czech Republic know, we are coming to the legendary MASTERS OF ROCK in Vizovice, CZ @ Liqueur company R. Jelínek grounds (what can be more appropriate for a Festival?) this weekend.
More precisely on Friday the 11:th of July at 15.25 h to 16.25 h we’ll be on stage
Later in the evening at 19.30 h we got a Meet & Greet session for all You beautiful fans in Czech Republic!

We will NOT appear as announced on Rockoff Festival at Islington Academy, London on July 27.
This is due to writing & rehearsal of new material for our upcoming album.

On sunday We will play at SUPERROCK (@ Trädgår´n) in Gothenburg with Dream Evil and Thunder Express. Doors open at 20.00 and we are joined by Dream Evil & Thunder Express on stage, Dj´s are Dregen & Nicke from Backyard Babies and Martin from Lillasyster, and lots more will happen during the night, like different competitions for Metal Town tickets, and a Guitar Hero 3 competion etc.

We finally got a date for a stateside release, yes its true.
Our music is coming over seas.
We are really happy to say that
On the 20th of may our album ,Absolute Design, will be in stores all over North America.
And hopefully we will back it up with a video or 2.
Now when most of you seen the Casket Closing video, some of you might wonder
about who did it and stuff like that. So here goes.
As we said before we did it in Belgrade but we have not told you with whom yet.
